Events.

September and October are awash with events. First up is the Kielder 100 http://www.sip-events.co.uk/kielder-home.html . Tom, Bison and I go up there to try our hand at the first one hundred mile off-road event. Plenty of training in hand for this. Bison and I going for the first leg of the Pennine Bridleway this weekend if the weather is good.

With a couple of 90 miles off-road and loads of 60+ in our legs we are feeling confident that we will ride okay.

Also, the week after Kielder there is the http://www.idonohoe.com/mountian_bike9.htm Mary Towneley loop, a 47 mile section of the Pennine Bridleway - as an event. Sept 13th. This event plus the run up to there on the 71 mile section will give us the knowledge to do the whole loop soon.

Following these in October Bison and I are giving the D2D ago solo again.

STOP PRESS - On top of this, dark and white are running a "as many laps as possible" event at Sherwood Pines Oct 18th. http://www.darkandwhite.co.uk/challenge-events-outdoor-activities.asp?race_id=267 Sounds good and there is no excuse for any of us to not be there.

Then we will be in to trailquest season!

I recently spent a week touring Scotland. Here is a gps pick of my first ever ride (and walk) up a Munro.
